run cowboy print + giveaway!

run cowboy print

voila! the first print is here. i'm very excited to have partnered with a superb brooklyn printer, rolling press, to bring this digital illustration to life. as i slowly get back in to screenprinting, it's nice to know that there's a way to produce some of the digital pieces i've already created.

you can check out the etsy shop for specific details, but the gist of it is that this fella was created in the most environmentally friendly way possible; recycled paper, non-toxic inks, windpower. indeed!

because i'm so excited, i've decided to take a cue from many other artists/blogs and hold a giveaway. oh boy! that means you could win a cowboy of your own from this edition of 50 signed and numbered prints. just leave a comment in this post. say hello, send a link my way, whatever you'd like. i'll randomly choose a winner on friday, april 23 so don't forget to include your e.mail. yay!

Hey Lydia! I love your illustrations and style. I'm just getting into print design and am thinking about learning how to screen print and/or letterpress. Your work is very inspirational, and I would love to get one of your prints. Thanks for sharing your work!

Hey Lydia! That's a great print, so much better when you don't have scientists attempting to articulate artistic vision. I'd love to hang it up at home.

What I love most about cowboys is that they never get old.

(I couldn't figure out how to include my email address, but it's on my website.)

Wonderful piece! Is the print designed with Illustrator or painted by hand? Just curious.

Oh wow, your artwork is so cheerful and lovely.
If I don't win the free print, I'll probably end up buying one from your etsy. I'm moving soon and I want all the walls in my new pad filled with wonderful art. :)
