Above is a painting I finished a couple of weeks ago, but as you may have noticed, I've been very absent from the internet these days. This partly due to a full-time, temporary freelance gig I started at the beginning of the month, but more recently because I had my appendix removed. While the whole getting-appendicitis-and-needing-surgery thing wasn't exactly fun, it did force me to shut off the computer, close the sketchbooks, and sleep. In a mad rush to wrap up my portfolio for grad school applications and juggle personal illustration and freelance design, I've been neglecting those essentials that keep the body happy and healthy; good meals and sufficient sleep. So here's to getting back on track and managing my many endeavors in a reasonable way!

In other news, the Art Hop show, Crank, was apparently a great success! I'm sorry to have missed it, but was pleased to hear that one of my paintings sold. Once the others are back in my possession, I'll very likely post them for sale.
